Meaning:

The feet ("paadamu") of Sri Venkateshwara are so sacred that they are adorable and worshiped ("kadigina") even by Brahma and that the very feet ("paadamu") themselves ("taananee") are Ultimate Brahmam.

The Lord's feet have been immensely worshipped by Goddess earth and the feet saved the earth ("mopina") from the powerful enemy "Baali" ("bali tala") Chakravarthi when the Lord in the form of Vaamana asked him to fulfill his wish. The adorable feet of the Lord, which, brought down the pride of the poisonous snake Kaalinga ("talagaka") kicked not only its head but also the sky (refers to Lord Vishnu in Vamana Avatar, where he takes three steps, one on earth, the second on sky and the third on Bali's head.) These are the feet (of Lord Krishna) that rescued Balarama.

The feet were pressed ("pisakedi") so dearly ("premapu") by the goddess of wealth Lakshmi ("shreesati"), the Lord's wife, the feet glitter / shine like gold. These are the feet that have given many boons ("varamosagedi") to rishis ("parama yogulaku") and have made TiruvenkaTagiri in Tirupati the ultimate destination ("tiramani coopina") to attain salvation. These feet are worshipped and washed by Brahma. (During the wedding of Lord SriVenkateswara, while Brahma offered "Kanya Daan" to Lord Sri Venkateswara, Brahma washed the feet of Lord SriVenkateswara.)

General comments:

This song is unusual in several ways. First of all it is a rare composition by a person who is not a regular composer or a musician. Although Rajaji was a popular writer, he was not recognised as a composer. Secondly, unlike other devotional songs which lament the status of the composer and request the Lord to save them (authors) in this and the next life, this song does not lament nor request special favours. Instead, the song describes the contented state of mind of the composer. The composer does not want anything. He is just content with seeing and worshipping the Lord. He just admires the everlasting grace of Lord Venkatesa of Tirupati.

Rajaji does not make any distinction here between Lord Venkatesa of Tirupati and the incarnation Krishna (known as kaNNAn in Thamizh). He uses the names interchangeably. He expresses only a common concept that the Lord, though present in the stone form, is taking care of the needs of the devotees. However, the concept comes out so crystal-clear when one hears the song. Perhaps it is the melody because there is no splendour of diction in this song. The words used are so commonplace.

Another distinctive feature of this song is that this was sung by MS Subbulakshmi at her United Nations concert in 1969 arranged by the then UN Undersecretary-general C V Narasimhan. The song was set to music by Kadayanallur Venkataraman who has worked with MS for decades. It is now a highly popular song in the concert circuit. Almost every musician keeps it in his/her repertoire to be rendered either as a regular item towards the end or to be rendered at the request of the audience.

Rajaji also composed a benediction verse in English to be rendered at the same UN concert by MS.

Listen to this song from the CD: Sri Venkateswara Balaji Pancharatnamala (CD 2) sung by MS Subbalakshmi.

Thanks to several websites which hosted / posted this great song and mean. Here I only have written the telugu version. The rest is taken from various website. Thanks to all.

I offer my prayers to Lord Ganesha to remove any obstacles in my path to Bhakti O Ramji. My aim in life is to start a Bhakti Cult Movement. There have been several times I have thought of this and I started it from within and will end it within. In between I would want to spread or share the happiness and delight I derive from this Bhakti Cult. It is to ones own Ultimate motive, to be one with The Ultimate, that one has to Ultimately accomplish as the Ultimatum!

I have googled on Thyagaraja Kritis and did not find one place which has comprehensive list of all Thyagarja Kritis. Then I have decided to make a place on the web which holds all the Thyagaraja Kritis. This was a thought for me somewhere in 2005. Then, the idea was in the form of word or text documents in my local computer. Then I,

Though my idea and intention is to start this kind of lyrics and songs website or blog with Thyagaraja Kritis, I would not want to limit this to only Thygaraja Kritis for several reasons.
One, because, I do worship all incarnations and forms of my favourite God, Lord Maha Vishnu
Two, because, I worship Lord Srivenkateswara as my family deity (Inti Ilavelpu) and I want to worship Lord Sri Venkateswara with Annamacharya Keertanas.
Three, because, the idea or aim to start this website or blog came from the worship of Lord Sriram. So, I would want to include all Lord Srirama songs like Bhadrachala Ramadasu Keertanalu, Aachari Aatreya Geetalu like Srirama Gaanamrutamu etc.
Four, because, it is more a Bhakti site with main focus on songs composed by Bard Saints like Thyagaraja, Annamacharya, Bhakta Ramadaasu and the like. It also would include devotional songs from various devotional and mythological films in several languages broadly covering Telugu, Hindi and Sanskrit.
Five, because, I have the desire and urge to include the Bhajans, Abhangs, poems etc of the various poetic music and song forms by Meera, Veda Vyasa, Vaalmiki, Kabir and the elite group.
Six, because, I do not want to limit the scope of my project (if I may use the professional code). As I believe that anything Divine is Unlimited.
